You get up from the couch and walk over to the small bookcase.
You have a fine collection of old books ... although most of
them are dusty from lack of use. You brush off some of the dust from the tops
of one or two of the volumes. (After all, you don't want to get the bad
reputation of being a person who collects dirty books!)
Next to your collection of old books is part of a Donald Duck comic book that you found at a garage sale a few days ago. (All but the first six pages of the book are missing. It does not contain a complete story.)
On another shelf in the bookcase is your portable radio.
"I haven't changed the radio's batteries in quite a while," you suddenly remember. "But I think the old ones inside it are probably still OK."
On the opposite side of the shelf from your radio is your telephone.
"I suppose I could phone my friend, Corky," you say to yourself. "Maybe he can think of something interesting for us to do."
